At HopiBonaire, you can pay with cash or credit card. On this page, you will learn more about the deposit we require, the various payment options we offer, and our cancellation policy. 

Cash payment after a deposit with a credit card

Our standard payment option requires a deposit via credit card, with the remaining amount to be paid in cash (in US dollars) on the day of the tour before departure. During the booking process, we will send you a payment link to complete the deposit.

In the booking confirmation, we specify both the deposit amount and the remaining balance, which must be paid in cash at the beginning of the tour.

We strongly recommend arranging the remaining balance in cash prior to the tour. Banks on bonaire often experience technical issues, and it will not be possible to visit a bank or ATM after the tour. Do you prefer not to visit a bank during your vacation? Consider paying the full amount in advance via credit card!

The deposit amount depends on the total cost:

* The amounts listed exclude the service and transaction fees charged by our payment processor, as well as any fees applied by the credit card company.

Pay in advance with credit card

If convenience is your priority, you can pay the full amount in advance with a credit card. Let us know during the booking process, and we will send you a payment link.

Due to the high processing costs of credit card payments, we must charge an additional 5% on the total amount. We will inform you about these additional fees during the booking process.

In practice, this option is not much more expensive than withdrawing cash locally to pay the remaining amount. Withdrawing money from ATMs on Bonaire also incurs fees.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans may change. To ensure a smooth experience for both parties, the following cancellation policy applies. You can find the detailed cancellation policy in our Terms and Conditions.

    Cancellation policy for deposits:

    • Cancellations more than 72 hours before the start of the tour:
      No cancellation fees; your deposit will be fully refunded.
    • Cancellations between 72 and 48 hours before the start of the tour:
      50% of the deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
    • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the start of the tour:
      The entire deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.

    Cancellation policy for advance payments:

    • Cancellations more than 72 hours before the start of the tour:
      No cancellation fees; your payment will be fully refunded.
    • Cancellations between 72 and 48 hours before the start of the tour:
      25% of the payment will be retained as a cancellation fee.
    • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the start of the tour:
      50% of the payment will be retained as a cancellation fee.

    Force Majeure disclaimer:

    In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond your control, we will carefully assess the situation. Depending on the circumstances, we may decide to waive the cancellation fees partially or entirely.
